Dr. McDonald
Dr. Paul McDonald is a graduate of Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. After working in a busy mixed-animal clinic, he left to start his own company - McDonald Veterinary Services, an ambulatory large animal practice servicing Lafayette, IN and the surrounding region. In addition, he provides relief services to local small animal practices.
In the fall of 2025, Dr. McDonald’s childhood dog, Mae, was diagnosed with rapidly progressing cancer. When the time came to say goodbye, he was able to let her go peacefully at his parent’s home - curled up in her favorite spot on the couch, surrounded by family.
That experience changed everything. He saw a need and knew he could create a solution so, he founded Olive Branch Veterinary End of Life Services to give other families the chance to say goodbye to their beloved pets in the comfort of home, without stress, fear, or bright clinic lights.
Dr. McDonald understands firsthand how heartbreaking this decision is, and he is honored to help your beloved friend cross the rainbow bridge with dignity, love, and peace.
