Cremation Services are available through our partnership with Pets Remembered Cremation Service. This service is available for home euthanasia and animals that have already passed due to natural causes. Transportation is provided by Olive Branch. See additional details below.
How it works
1. Contact us any time
Call or text (765) 231-6519
Dr. McDonald or our caring receptionist will respond promptly to schedule your appointment or answer any questions.
2. Complete consent form
A simple online form sent via text or email
3. Day of your appointment
Dr. McDonald arrives at your home. He will gently review the process, confirm your wishes, and accept payment.

4. Sedation
A mild sedative is given. Your pet will become very sleepy and comfortable within 10-15 minutes. You may hold, cuddle, and say everything you need to say. You will let us know when it’s time.
5. Euthanasia
With your permission, Dr. McDonald administers the final injection. Your pet passes peacefully in your arms or their favorite spot - usually within seconds.
6. Private time
Dr. McDonald steps away so that you may have as much time as you need alone with your pet.
7. After Care
You may decide on keepsakes, home burial or cremation services.
If cremation is requested, your pet will be gently transported to Pets Remembered Crematory. (Additional information is available below)
Keepsakes are created at our base of operation and delivered directly to your home.

After Care

A private cremation where the ashes will be returned in a beautiful cedar urn. Olive Branch will handle transportation to the crematory. You may pick up the remains directly from Pets Remembered in Lafayette or we can deliver them to you at the additional cost of the standard trip fee.

Communal cremation is an optional disposal service where ashes are not returned. Olive Branch with handle the transportation of your pet to the crematory.

If desired, transportation of remains to the Pets Remembered Crematory is a service that is included in our at home euthanasia pricing. However, if your animal has already passed due to natural causes, we are also able to provide transport for your pet for the standard trip fee and an additional $60 handling fee.
